Electric cars ; Let's talk

Electric cars, one of the latest trends in the automotive industry, they're clean, they accelerate fast and they can be smoother than petrol or diesel vehicles, but, what else?

You just hop into your Lamborghini Aventador, and get ready for that awesome roar of the engine, or maybe you don't want an empty wallet, electric cars or electric versions of petrol cars are more expensive.

Whatever it is, petrol and electric cars have their own advantages over each each other, but do electric cars have enough advantages over petrol or diesel cars?

The main and the most obvious advantage of electric cars is that they don't pollute the environment, not only do they prevent the pollution that happens through smoke, they also prevent what happens through sound ; sound pollution. Electric vehicles are much quieter than gasoline vehicles. Yes, some people just love the good old roar of your Aventador, but losing that might not be so bad after all. Most countries also offer tax credits for electric car owners.

But you might be thinking, can't buying a hybrid car just provide the best of both worlds. Well, technically yes, but in my opinion, it's not worth it buying a hybrid.

A hybrid is still going to leave a bigger whole in your pocket than gasoline powered cars, but they usually cost less that fully electric cars. Just like a full electric, hybrids are much quieter than gasoline, they don't pollute the environment and accelerate faster. But the range, gasolines have much more range than electric cars, but in a hybrid, as the batteries require a lot of space, there is less space for the petrol tank, lowering the range, so you might not be getting the advantage of a petrol. Newer batteries, containing the latest technology give you a lot of range, but since hybrids also have petrol, most hybrids right now don't have the latest battery technology.

So that's my opinion, electric cars are the future, so although we lose some advantages of gasoline cars, we better get over it. I also think that there is no point in buying a hybrid to solve the problem.
